Swept at home by the Dodgers

Damn, that's about as bad as it gets. Division lead squandered. And with Lincecum seemingly degrading again, things are looking bad. He's the key, if he finds himself, the Giants have a decent chance, if he doesn't it's probably another lost year because the Dodgers are on the rise again. The Giants have few options for improving their team through trades.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings -- but, yeah, that was a pretty devastating sweep. Dodgers batting line-up is looking pretty solid, too, with the acquisition of Ramirez and Victorino. Damn, they really look good on paper!
Hopefully with the trades we just made, we can pick up the slack a bit. I'm excited about the Pence move. But, hey, I was also excited about the Beltran move.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting them to be able to get Pence, that's huge. But unlike Beltran, they didn't give up too much for him IMO (Schierholtz was a bit redundant and the Giants are already deep with catchers so giving one up wasn't a huge deal), and he's also under team control for next year. Plus, Lincecum pitched well last night, let's hope he can do that consistently.
