Needless to say, we need to win this.

The pitching is what it is, not much that can be done about it. So, they are going to have to hit their way out of this mess and score some runs to beat St. Louis. Unfortunately, that is not the Giants strong suit, but that's what's left to them. The guys who need to pick it up are Scutaro, Pence, Pagan, and Belt. Not one of those guys has an OPS over .534, and none of them are hitting for more than a .208 average, that's horrible.

Belt has been an absolute disaster, hitting .118 with 7 strikeouts in 17 at bats, and has hit into 4 double plays. Now is not the time to coddle him for confidence, he needs to produce or get replaced in the lineup ASAP.

Sanchez and Arias need to get more at bats, and soon.

Update: Baggs says Belt is still in the lineup. #*&@!

We would be down 0-1 right now, since he didn't do anything last night when it mattered.

That being said, THANKS FOR THE RUN. Too bad Panda/Posey/Pence have been TERRIBLE so far.

To be fair to Belt, he took two balls that were called strikes. We know he can get on base when he gets the calls.

Man, that was a dirty play by Holliday. Shameful. Lucky Scutaro seems OK, could have easily broken an ankle, knee, or leg on that play.
