COL
Starter COL: Bettis R(3-2 , 3.44 ERA)
SF
Starter SF: Hudson R(5-6 , 4.52 ERA)
We need to start fast on offense and give Hudson some run support as we have been doing recently. Seems to pitch better with the lead, unsurprisingly.
Let's see if Bochy sticks with Ishikawa in LF vs the righty Bettis or he opps to start Maxwell.

He'll be gone next yr haha. Hopeful he doesn't hurt us down the stretch. We need Cain and Peavy to comeback strong to really make a run at the dodgers.
what am I saying, no we don't! We have won with 3 decent starters before but it would be nice to have 3 aces all dealing and Heston and Peavy throwing decent.

What's the timetable on Cain? I heard he looked good in last nights win.

we always had a very good relief pitching to make up for it though, this year doesnt seem to be the case. maybe we could turn one of our crap starters into a relief pitcher after cain and peavy comeback.

I definitely could be wrong but I think the plan is to cycle thru the young arms we have on deck in the farm system to see who is ready to pitch in the bullpen and assess if they can be long or short relief, setup men or closing potential. Broadway is getting his shot right now and I like his stuff but got roughed up yesterday. I expect to see Cody Hall, Derek Law and Raymond Black at some point barring injury or production set backs. Affledt keeps pissing his pants on the mound so his shoulder hurts now. Machi, Petit and Romo are also stuggling. I don't wanna send Timmy back to the bullpen now that he has his confidence back. My vote is for Hudson to accept assignment or he will keep having "shoulder issues" i.e. 60day dl. Starters are Bummy, Heston, Timmy and Cain. Between Vogelsong and Peavy moves to the bullpen to be a long reliever in Affledts spot and the other gets the 5th start maybe they even alternate. I'll say one thing Bochy and Righetti have their work cut out for them this year.
Would really help to get Hunter and Aoki back to charge the offense again. Im not happy with Ishikwa in LF.
Cain threw well yesterday for SAC. 2runs, 4hits, 2bb, 4ks on 98 pitches. I dont know if they will move him up now or they wanna see a bit more but the arm was live.

Timmy took a nasty liner to the elbow...Just terrible luck because it looks like he may be the odd man out with Peavy and Cain coming back something next week.

Our luck with starting pitching is just crazy! Im not even surprised anymore. I would feel like I cursed him if it wasn't so normal. SMH
Lets hope it didn't mess him up too bad. Ice it down Timmy!

Duffy has been awesome since he was moved to the 3 spot. He has been good since he won the job from McGhee but now he has been really stellar. I thought of him more as a utility guy due to his lack of girth, but he is doing great

I know, I have been really impress by his production this year. If he can work out long term that will be 5 straight years we have developed an infielder into an everyday starter. Gmen really have it going!
Now we need Jarrett Parker or Daniel Carbonell to step up so next year we can keep it going in. Would be nice to have a young outfielder behind Pagan Blanco Pence and Aoki.
Bad break for Aoki, he was having a nice year in the perfect role for him
