Giants sign Jeff Samardzija

The San Francisco Giants didn't waste any time feeling sorry for themselves after losing out on prized free agent Zack Greinke. According to CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic, they reached a five-year agreement with right-hander Jeff Samardjiza early on Saturday. I'm gonna withhold judgement til we get to see him on the mound. I just want us to address the outfield. We need a new bat and probably to bring back Aoki.

Aoki is already on the Mariners
i really don't like Samardijza but whatever, maybe he'll be good.

I think Sam will have a nice bounce back season. Him and Bumgardner should mesh well. We still better add another good pitcher.

I think Samardzija is a good fit, though I have some reservations about him being a legit #2 guy.
