Moore pitched a hell of a game, he exceeded my expectations for tonight and then some. 120 pitches, 8 IP, and 10 K's.

But the Top of the 9th inning was basically the story of the 2016 Giants.

That's what we deserved for not getting a closer at the deadline. Why we spent all our assets on Will Smith, I have no idea.

Where was Casilla? Was he left off the playoff roster or something? I know he was no longer the closer after his string of blown saves, but hanging the season on the likes of Hunter Strickland? Really? I mean... really? "Gas Can" Strickland is all power and no finesse. Anyone who can get their bat around in time absolutely murders him.

If you've ever been to a Giants game this season, you know that Casilla would have been booed off the field if Bochy put him in

Casilla, Romo, Lopez and one or two other relievers are FAs.

They're all over 30. I was surprised to learn Casilla is 36.

So there will be closers out in the FA market, including Jansen and Bensanson.

Will the Giants spend? I can't fault them for spending last offseason, they stepped up to get some good starters.

But after that spree last season, will they go again this offseason?

Relief pitching was probably the biggest problem but hitting was also a big problem. Honestly, if Pence was a FA now, I don't know that the team should sign him.
