With the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series last night (yes, that felt strange to type), the offseason officially gets under way. With a bevy of potential closers on the market and the Giants finishing 2nd in Blown Saves, the Giants seemed primed to go after one. Aroldis Chapman, Kenley Jansen, and Mark Melancon are the cream of the crop in this department. We can talk rumors and happenings from around the league in this thread, a major signing or trade by the Giants can warrant its own thread. Let's hope this is the first step to a championship in 2017!

Sergio Romo is reportedly close to a deal with the Dodgers. Several outlets reported last night that it was a done deal, but Dodgers Pres. of Baseball Ops. Andrew Friedman said otherwise. Jon Heyman reported that another team was thinking of making an offer for him. Either way, as was expected, Sergio Romo's tenure with the Giants looks to be closed.
