Remember David Aardsma?

I bet he'd be our best arm in our bullpen right about now...
Last season stats: 53 IP, 3-0, 49 Ks, 4.08 ERA, 1.30 WHIP
This season: 9 IP, 1-0, 9 Ks, 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
Was LaTroy Hawkins worth it, or should I say...Steve Kline?

That has been the Giants for as long as I can remember. They stockpile pitching in the draft and then trade them for vets. In this case for another pitcher but normally, they trade pitching prospects for bats. How much more proof do they need that it doesn't work? Fans can only hope this is the end of an era and a new one begins next year.

Steve Kline has been our best arm these past few years out of the pen.
But I'd still rather have Aardsma...
But basically, Kline was our Scotty Eyre replacement, and he's done very well considering the Cubs pay Eyre 4 Million a year and we pay Kline 1.5 Mill.

Kline has been good, I didn't mean to say he wasn't. Problem is, he is mostly a guy you throw out to get that one lefthanded batter out. Something every pen could use of course but is no everynight setup man like the Giants are searching for right now. I would take Aardsma (a guy who could take control on that setup role) over Kline (for the most part a one batter guy) any day.
