How about that opo hr? Then he goes and in the 7th inning, hits a single for the cycle. Not a bad day i'd say Mr Lewis. Welcome!

It helps when you have a pitcher just throwing meatballs praying that it gets caught.

meatballs or not, the kids today really hit the ball. Sure, not top pitching but considering how the bats have not been coming through with runners is scoring position, Not!, real nice to see so many great AB's from these kids.

Certainly can't hurt team moral in going forward with the season.

Another important issue was Cain's outstanding performance. After his last two starts, I had my doubt's that he was going to remain a "Ace" type pitcher. Today he looked much better, glad to see that work out

When is Klesko gonna rip a dinger? He's due. You guys like him?

Just the other day he mentioned how he doesn't belong in the same BP group as Bonds and Klesko, so he goes out there and hits an oppo bomb.

Lewis 1, Klesko 0

Real nice to see the kids coming through with the bats. Lewis, Ortmeier, and Frandsen with some loud knocks.

Cain is younger than Lincecum, there are going to be growing pains as he matures as a pitcher. He'll have a few bad outings, but believe me he'll be an Ace, along with Lincecum once they know how to pitch instead of just throw.

They are earning every AB -- not like Niekro/Linden who act like they are walking on eggs in the majors.

It's exciting to see these youngsters perform so well. Yes, they are earning their cup of coffee, maybe a lot more.

With Cain my concern was what you see with special young pitchers all too often, possibly somthing going wrong physically with his arm. Today he looked much better.

Still can't get over how well Lewis has done so far. Havn't noticed, anyone seen him throw from deep in the outfield?. If it turns out that he can throw, Lewis may well turn out to be another keeper 5 tool player.

Looks to have a good arm. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best arm, I would say about a 7. Good enough to get the job done but not a "wow" arm. His first start of this year he had a chance to throw out a tagging running. The throw was nearly perfect online but slightly late and the average-speed runner scored.
