Pablo Sandoval Snubbed!

Post#1 » by ALPHA17 » Fri Jul 10, 2009 1:06 am

I'm sure I should have/could have voted a few more times, but Pablo was robbed of his first ASG. I blame it on ESPN and MLB. Them and their continuous obsession of NYY, STL, BOS, PHI and DET. Bud Selig is as biased as they get.

:nonono: damn :nonono:

Thanks to Peter Pascarelli for trying to get Panda in there though.

Most people think he'll take the place of Beltran.

I'm pretty sure he'll take Beltran's spot as well. Peter definitely did his part. I just wish that the MLB wouldn't publish the standings of voting until the end. That is what caused the sudden surge of votes for Victorino; as well as the extra three hours the east coast had to cast their vote as well.

It's horrible that Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutte, all had to solicit votes for Shane. This is baseball people! Not a popularity contest. (Unfortunately, it really is a popularity contest.)

I heard that there were a few radio stations in Philadelphia that had contests to keep voting for Victorino...three students stayed up for almost 3 days and kept voting non-stop...they must have clicked on Victorino's name over 10,000 times each :o

Pablo was snubbed again! Charlie Manuel is so biased that he makes Werth the replacement for Beltran. Even Matt Kemp of the fckin Dodgers deserved to go more than Werth! Pablo better beat the hell out of the Phillies when they come at the end of the month.

Jayson Werth?!? So let me get this straight:

Jayson Werth?
Shane Victorino?
Raul Ibanez?
Chase Utley?
Ryan Howard?

If all FIVE of these guys are legitimate all-stars, they better have the best record in the NL. The fact is that they play in a hitters ballpark that would allow Pablo to have 30 HRs at this point in the season. Chase Utley and Ryan Howard are the only legitimate all-stars on that team. The other three (Werth, Victorino and Ibanez) are just the beneficiaries of having Utley and Howard around them in the lineup.

Pablo was definitely snubbed again. I really hope Pablo makes them feel the pain later this season when the games they play have wild card implications.

Agreed! I hate the Phillies! They do NOT deserve to have 5 All-Stars. How is it that they had more All-Stars than the Giants or even, the Dodgers? I just watched the video on why Manuel picked Werth and it was sooooo obvious that he is WAY too biased....hey Charlie, I hope you and your 5 "All-Stars" will be having fun at home watching the GIANTS play in the playoffs this year!

Well, he better get Cain's spot if Matty can't go.

Meanwhile, the Phillies get their entire outfield and the Rays get their entire infield :nonono:
