Pablo and Eugenio are having great games.

And for those of you not watching, earlier in the game Sanchez threw an unintentional wild pitch that nearly hit Utley's head. Utley got mad since he thought Sanchez was throwing at him so on the next pitch he stepped out of the box right as Sanchez was about to pitch. That ticks pitchers off. The infielders had to console Sanchez after that. Utley, still pissed off, hit a home run on the next pitch.

Tyler walker, one of the Phillies' relieve pitchers, plunked Garko on the shoulder in the next inning as retaliation. Thing is, it looked like he was aiming at Garko's head. You're not supposed to do that. Don't be surprised if something goes down between these two teams later this series...

Giants win 2-0.

Tim Lincecum threw 8 innings, struck out 7, and gave up 7 hits. Brian Wilson came in the 9th to convert the save.

Giants go for 3 out of 4 with Zito going for the Giants and Hamels for the Phillies.

Today is a big game for the Giants. Colorado has won 3 in a row and they finish their series against the Reds today (likely win). Then, they play against the Phillies AT Philly. The Giants will travel to Houston, to take on the Astros, who have fallen hard and out of the WC picture recently. It's very important that we win today and at least 2 in Houston, because then we have 3 winnable games against the Reds (in SF) and then 3 games against the damn Dodgers (in SF). After that, we go on a 11 game road trip so...in short, we need to win all of our games and hope the Rockies/Cubs lose theirs :P

Zito has been so good recently. I take back 48% of all the bad things I've said about him.

3 out of 4 against the Phils, I'll take it.

I'm already in love with Freddy batting in the 2 hole. BTW Velez is making it extremely hard to take him out of the lineup. Nate better be worried.

Freddy Sanchez made me eat crow today. Here's hoping that he continues this kind of play for the rest of the season and beyond.
