Ugh. Dear God, please no. I hated watching him flounder in every appearance with the Mariners only to light people up on the White Sox and Phils.

Excuse me, what?

Garcia's ERAs with Seattle: 4.07, 3.91, 3.05 (ERA title, 3rd in CYA vote), 4.39, 4.51, 3.20

Garcia's ERAs with Chicago: 4.46, 3.87, 4.53

Garcia's ERA with Philly: 5.90 (in 11 starts, followed by a season-ending injury).

In Philly he was the one getting lit up. (Believe me, I drafted him for my fantasy draft and thought I was getting a bargain who could be rejuvenated in the NL. Hah.)

Anyway, he's damaged goods and will never again be what he once was. I'd be cool with them signing him to a minor-league deal and letting him compete with R.A. Dickey for a spot on the staff, but no more than that. I certainly wouldn't count on him making the rotation.

I have a severe anti-Garcia bias, but I still don't want him back.

They really need to get their asses back in trade talks. There aren't any pitchers worth a damn on the free agent market.

Yes, I'd love for Felix to have his idol back on the M's so Felix can pick up all Freddy's good habits.

I'm all for having a role model for Felix, someone he can really relate to. If only there were a good Venezuelan pitcher on the trade market. Hmm.
