Well, I started to post this right as Jose Lopez got lazy and booted a ball that would've gotten the M's out of the 7th inning...but instead allowed the lead run to score. Oops. I shall not make an effort to post game threads ever again...

Looks like this is another loss. The offense comes alive, and the starter + half the bullpen lets the team down. Look at the number of walks drawn by the team's hitter tonight...

Mariners: 1 BB
Rangers: 13 BB

That's disgusting. I can understand giving up a lot of runs and being hit hard in Texas, but giving up that many cheap baserunners kills any chance you have at winning.

EDIT: NVM...tie game. Holy ****! Might be the best game of the year...anyone else even watching it?

That was definately yheir best effort offensively, but the pitching was horrid. Bedard still not showing any ace ability, the bullpen did pretty good, but Lopez's error hurt. Morrow striking out all the batters he faced, that's a good sign, the HR he gave up wasn't.

lol, the mariners can't have in the same game good pitching and good batting.

and i think very little has been mentioned the fact that ichiro is playing waaaay below what he has accustomed us to. yesterday only 1 hit and 1 run...

for tonights game, it's a shame sexon won't be there to play...

I think without Sexson, the team's actually playing better. 1-1 w/o him so far, and their was more effort in both games.

His 1.8 ERA heading into the game wasn't good enough for you? :-?

As for this game, I stopped watching it when we were down 6-5, and then laughed a little while later when it was 12-12. I had no clue what happened.

This team sucks so bad. And I knew that little prick would hit a game-winning homer off of us.

He has an abnormal amount of unearned runs though...which is partly due to godawful defense when he's on the mound, but I still hold the pitcher somewhat accountable when errors lead to men on base and the pitcher can't wiggle his way out of the situation unharmed. Kinda depends.

Nice to see one of the players we got from the Carlos Guillen deal making a difference...

what happened to your guy's defense? it's looked very rangersesque in this series, though when yuniesky made that throwing error i think cairo tagged out laird in time

They're just sloppy. Ibanez is a stiff, Yuni's gotten fat, and Lopez is lazy. Even Beltre, a great defensive third baseman, has been prone to just throwing the ball away or bobbling it.

At this point, I'm really not sure what purpose the coaching staff serves...
