There's something so woosie about this team. Beyond all the obvious shortcomings of our roster from a pure baseball perspective, and the all too apparent underachievement this year, there's just this pervasively listless lack of competitive intensity with this team. It's like this team has no self respect, is completely bereft of anything anywhere near approaching a critical mass of players who seem to give a damn in a manner that is even remotely recognizable to me.

It's embarrassing.

Well stated.

I'm interested to see what Ex-Flower Child thinks.

if it comes down to coach or gm, who would you choose to stay?

I don't totally blame the coach. McLaren makes some poor choices, but he's not the one who traded for Vidro to be a primary DH. Not the one who signed mediocre starter after medicore starter to a long-term deal. Not the one who decided a bench full of Bloomquists and Cairos was somehow in the team's interest.

If I had choose between coach or GM...I'd actually wish I could go higher up and jettison the buffoons who hired Bavasi in the first place, and who continue to sit and twiddle their thumbs as this season goes down the tubes.
