Love it. He's still only 26, already has one All Star season under his belt and we signed him for peanuts. I really like how he turned down more money from other clubs because he wants to close, and Seattle represents his best shot to do so. That's the kind of mentality I want my closer to have.
Here's to hoping he successfully rehabs that shoulder and gets back to '05 form by midseason.

I like the timing of it, as there's no rush...Cordero can take his time to get healthy. If a closer steps up, we're good. If we're having trouble midseason, we have a nice option waiting in the wings.
