Cordero Signing

Post#1 » by blackery3000 » Thu Mar 19, 2009 2:24 am

Love it. He's still only 26, already has one All Star season under his belt and we signed him for peanuts. I really like how he turned down more money from other clubs because he wants to close, and Seattle represents his best shot to do so. That's the kind of mentality I want my closer to have.

Here's to hoping he successfully rehabs that shoulder and gets back to '05 form by midseason.

Great signing.

Cordero would be beastly for us if he is able to regain his form from a few years ago. Plus, its a low-risk scenario.

I like the timing of it, as there's no rush...Cordero can take his time to get healthy. If a closer steps up, we're good. If we're having trouble midseason, we have a nice option waiting in the wings.
