Aren't we all glad the M's let Ibanez go in an effort to upgrade the outfield defense?

It boggles the mind. Certainly lends something to the argument that defensive metrics aren't really failsafe.

That, and sample sizes, etc. etc. Still, by all accounts Ibanez is playing excellent defense in Philly, in addition to his MVP-level offensive performance.

But hey, I'm happy for the guy and glad he's doing well, and I also don't hold it against the M's who, like absolutely every commentator, did not foresee this. And we did get a couple of draft picks for letting him go as well.

Ah well, it will turn out the right move in the long run.

He just needed to feel wanted. Seriously though, good for Raul.

Yet I've still enough 'highlights' of misguided dives and being the wrong position that I just don't buy the praise.
