Fri, Aug 28 - 10:10 pm EDT: B. Bannister (7-10, 4.50) vs. F. Hernández (12-5, 2.73)
Sat, Aug 29 - 10:10 pm EDT: G. Meche (6-9, 4.75) vs. I. Snell (4-9, 5.37)
Sun, Aug 30 - 4:10 pm EDT: Z. Greinke (12-8, 2.43) vs. R. Rowland-Smith (2-1, 4.05)

Following up the sweep of the A's with a sweep of the Royals would be great but I think we will end up winning this series 3-1. I can't see us doing very well vs Greinke but King Felix should bounce back with a win and I think Fister & Snell will continue to pitch well.

The Royals have lost the last five road games started by Greinke, and are 4-8 overall in his road starts. That does include a 1-0 loss in which the run was surrendered late by a reliever, but in any case this is what happens when Yuni, Bloomquist and Olivo are in your lineup. A sweep is statistically improbable, but the M's do have a good shot to win any particular game in the series.

I just think our lineup will really struggle against Greinke but you're right, we could win anyone of these games.

Not a bad outing out of Snell. three hits and the only runs off of a HR. I would have liked to see him go more innings but hey, not horrible. One more solid outing and he'll have his ERA down below 5 for teh first time in 3 years. If he can do something like 6 and change with 2 runs like he did this time he'll start to look like not a back pickup. Not amazing, but if he can turn into something decent but unspectacular. He could fill out a 4-5 man in the rotation nicely.

He was pulled after 5 because he took a line drive off his forearm. He still stayed in and got the last two outs in the 5th to qualify for the win. He only threw 68 pitches in his 5 innings.

Wasn't hard! Greinke is one of the best pitchers in the AL and the M's offense is one of the worst in the AL.
