Beltre's obviously a FA. The FA crop seems pretty weak here; Chone Figgins, Joe Crede, Juan Uribe headline. Would Miguel Tejada take a one-year deal and slide over from SS?

Given our last dealing with KC, I'd at least inquire about trading for Mark Teahen.

We ought to resign Adrian. True, he will never come close to his last contract year offensively, but his defense is still specatcular and his value is pretty low right now. A Branyanesque one-year deal could be just what the doctor ordered.

I'd also like to retain Bill Hall for another year for utility purposes; there's no way he's worse than Bloomquist was.

Hall is under contract for another year, and the M's got a decent chunk of change from Milwaukee to defray the cost.

No kidding. This has been on my mind for awhile now. It makes perfect sense to me.
