Looks like Felix today, Bedard (!) on Tuesday, and Fister on Wednesday. We'll probably see a lot of the bullpen Tuesday and Wednesday, which is always an adventure. Bedard probably won't go more than 5, and Fister has not been Fister since coming back from the DL. 4.0 and 4.2 IP in his two starts, 9 combined ER. I think he'll get it back (and KC doesn't score runs like the Brew Crew or Detroit), but we still might not be going deep into games after Felix.
C'mon, gents! Sweep! Sweep! After this series, It's 4 with the Yanks, 4 @ the Angels, 3 with the ChiSox, 4 with Boston, 4 @ the ChiSox, 3 @ the Twins, and 3 with Texas. It's gonna get brutal (though after that, we have 12 with KC/Oak/Cleve/Bal).

Re: Kansas City
Well, no Bedard on Tuesday. "Discomfort", they say.
Branyan just smacked a 2 run HR to make it 4-1 M's in the 5th. 3rd HR since the trade.

Re: Kansas City
Felix goes 7 and leaves with a 4-2 lead, League comes in and swiftly loses the lead. sigh
Game tied at 4 going into the bottom of the 8th, M's get two in scoring position with no outs and fail to score. Bases loaded w/ two outs, Wilson pops out to short on ball 4. sigh

Bot 8, down 3-2, two outs. Ichiro on 1st, Branyan smacks a double. Ichiro scores easily... only a dumbass kid reaches over the right field wall and picks up the ball. Ichiro forced to stop at 3rd. Lopez grounds out next at bat.
We suck, and our fans suck.

Can MLB just cancel the rest of our games or something? Atleast the ones Lee and Felix aren't starting.

Re: Kansas City
Some may point at the offense as the biggest disappointment on the team, but I have to bestow that honor on the bullpen. Aardsma has regressed, League has a questionable pitch selection, Lowe's been hurt, Sean White is awful...no one really stands out. We were very lucky in one run games last year, but horribly unlucky in one run games this year. Bad luck and bullpen regression probably plays a large part in that bit of misfortune.
He made a poor choice, but I feel bad for the kid...he was apparently a visiting foreigner.

Let me quote myself from earlier in this thread.
I agree with Sweez; Our bullpen has been hugely ineffective. I mean...who's been consistent besides Sweeney?

Re: Kansas City
The worst part about League is...he's got two really good pitches: a fastball and a splitter. Why he switched teams and switched pitching styles is beyond me. If it's the player, then the coaching staff needs to step in a make some changes. If it's the coaching staff, then...they need evaluate their choices.

Re: Kansas City
Aardsma was so upset that you guys turned the conversation to League that he had to go out and give up 2 runs in the 9th tonight to get your attention.
Seriously, is anyone as ineffective in non-save situations as he is? He's 16/20 in save chances, which actually isn't terrible. He's appeared in 10 non-save situations, and he's given up 17 ER this year. Some of those runs came in his 4 blown saves, but he's just about giving up a run every single team he's coming into the game when the team doesn't have the lead in the 9th.
