I don't know if it's reluctance to move him, per se, as much as it's going to be next-to-impossible to move his contract. He's got 3 years and a lot of millions left on a deal for an aging singles hitter (who doesn't do anything as well as our other aging singles hitter who has a lot of millions left on his deal).
He's definitely slowed down the past 4-5 days after a torrid 3 weeks. 2 for his last 21, I think? Only a handful of walks in there, too.

I'm reluctant if we do something like Geoff Baker is suggesting, like still paying $3 million per year as a team like the Braves assumes the rest of the contract. What's that get you? $6 million to spend and a hole to fill on the roster.
I see no rush to move Figgins right now for that kind of package. It's selling low for a player viewed as a bargain when his deal was signed. There will be teams who need 2B/3B in the offseason who, if needed, could offer us just as lousy an offer as they might right now for Figgins.
