Mental mistakes are killing the A's today 1 good chance at a run ruined by bad base running and giving cano a double on a routine single

So much for that. Dammit, Erasmo.

time for a big inning after that bomb by moss.

M's need to destroy gray and get to the bullpen early and wear them out

Now the A's have the lead...two on, no outs. Erasmo sort of unraveled. I like Chris Young well enough but this seems like a poor spot to use him what with his issues with base runners and propensity to give up fly balls.

I'm okay with 4-2 and coming home.

Terrible call on that 3rd strike. All in all the team played well in Oakland...4-2 is OK, but man we were close to a 6-0 record.

Sweezo? Smart? You're obviously confusing him with someone else.

:eek2:

Ah, well...I appreciate that. Thanks for the kind words.

The Sonics forum is still around, it's just kind of hiding I hang around RealGM for the date of their return. I know it won't happen as quickly as I would like--and I hate to hijack the M's forum with a Sonics discussion--but when they do, this place will be awesome.

Oh? Maybe I'm no genius, but I am smart enough to not the mock a guy who could quickly change the name "BayAreaMadSkill" to "Smoak's #1 Fan." :D

I'm interested to see how James Paxton comes along this year. He was always the guy I was throwing into trade scenarios in my mind, but he didn't seem to command much respect/value in the market, as best as I could tell.

Now I'm thinking what if this guy turns out to be a solid 3rd or 4th starter or even a tad better, at least in terms of the league average in that way?

Just curious about him. He's got the stuff (from what I've seen so far), a decent athlete, good sized pitcher...just wondering if he'll turn out to be a surprise for us, moreso than Hultzen, Ramirez, Mauer, and the like.
