Look, I love being reactionary too. It's fun. And this team brings out the best in you when that occurs. But we have no quick fix like other teams do, and our team will get better as time progresses because of a lot of s**tty hitting performances. Those do, occasionally, subside.

That having been said, I still hope people refrain from showing up. Maybe that'll force the most needed change.

He has been our most consistent starter, and in order to have any remote chance of winning a pennant, you have to have that lock at #1.

Is Bedard a proven commodity? How many great, injury free seasons has he had?

So far this season he's had a string of good performances, missed a few starts due to a hip problem that may or may not be done with, and he was just pulled in the 3rd inning in a game where he was spotted a five run lead (and has since been outpitched by Cha Seung Baek). Giving up 6 ER in 2 innings against a division rival when the team's reeling isn't exactly an ace pitcher living up to his expectations.

Make it look like you have either a short term or long term plan. Because right now, the organization is just mailing it in daily, from the players to the front office.

I'm fine with letting Sexson go at the end of the year...I may defend the guy as I think he often gets blasted for the wrong reason, but he's certainly not worth his contract at this point in his career...but I don't mind keeping Ibanez around. Even if he is getting older, the guy still produces when he's healthy, and he's the only bat on the roster who seems capable of carrying this team to a win from time to time by himself.

As an aging hitter with power from the left side of the plate, I think he's a great fit for this team as DH. So long as you don't horribly overpay him, that is...
