Who is it for you guys?
Currently, mine is, without a doubt,
Franklin Gutierrez. I love the guy. Gives 100% out there and he's really turning himself into a damn good player. He's a thrill to watch in CF with his awesome play and I'm beyond happy we traded for him.
So glad we locked him up with that new contract.

Past (and sorta present), I gotta go
Ken Griffey Jr. Hell, he's the reason I became a Mariners fan in the first place. One of the greatest players to ever play on a baseball diamond. He's a hero to Seattle fans.

Get out of my head.
Agreed on both counts. I'm 25, so I grew up with Junior roaming CF in the Kingdome. I played the position from Little League through high school because of him, and since I spent so many years playing it I've always had a soft spot for the position. And Guti is the man.
Edgar is a close second. Felix is quickly climbing the charts... it's been really fun watching him develop from all-world potential to annual Cy Young contender.
Honestly, though, I think 8 or 9 of my top 10 Mariners would come from the golden age of the franchise (1995-2001).

Favorites of all time: Jay Buhner, Edgar Martinez, Alvin Davis, Leon Roberts, Ken Griffey Jr., Harold Reynolds, Ichiro Suzuki, Julio Cruz, Jamie Moyer, Ruppert Jones, Bill Caudill.
Favorites currently: Ichiro, Felix Hernandez, Franklin Gutierrez, Milton Bradley, Erik Bedard.
Least favorite of all time: Bobby Ayala, Heath Slocumb, Yuniesky Betancourt, Alex Rodriguez, Kevin Mitchell, Carlos Silva, Miguel Batista.
Least favorite currently: none really; maybe Rob Johnson, Sean White or Mike Sweeney, not that they're bad guys, but they're usurping other people's opportunities.

Besides the obvious ones in Jr and Edgar I always loved Tino Martinez. I really wish they would have kept him after 95.

Gotta go with Griffey also. I have an autographed picture of me and him at the Kingdome when I was 10 years old.
Wish we had Podsednik also, no idea why we traded him away for basically nothing. He's tearing it up again this year.
