Lost three games in Chicago, all by 1 run. Two of them in walk-offs, the other in the 8th. That's just sickening. Went from a tie for 1st in the West to 2.5 back.
Today, we've got Felix (2-0, 2.15) @ Kyle Davies (1-1, 4.82).
I hope we take a good, long look at Jose Guillen. He's destroying the ball this year. I'd love to bring him back to add some pop. I thought he was just wacky enough to have a positive impact on the '07 M's, who surprised many by winning 88 games.

Oh sweet God...Yuni's making us look bad, Rob Johnson can't handle good pitching, and the offense is completely lackluster again. I'm sick of us not getting squat from our DH's. At some point Jack Z has to do something to get the offense going.

This offense is pathetic. Jesus H Christ. And can we please just cut Rob Johnson? I have no idea why he is on any MLB roster.
We need a bat. Or two. Or three. Now. How many more quality outings have we gotten now? And we are on a 4-game losing streak?
Ridicuous.

Here's hoping Z doesn't wait till the deadline to correct these gaping holes in the offense. We're 1/8th of the way through the season, the sample size is large enough to make some informed decisions here.

M's win 3-2 last night. Grienke dominated through 7, handed the ball to the 'pen, and we batted around and scored 3 runs in the 8th for the win. Good work by our pen, and Snell turned a potential disaster start (bases loaded, no outs in the 1st) into a decent one.
Rubber match today. RRS (0-1, 4.63) vs. Gil Meche (0-2, 11.37). Meche hasn't made it out of the 4th in 2 of his previous 3 starts, and the one he did (6 IP) he gave up 5 runs. He's 2-2 with a 5.77 ERA lifetime against his old team.

Top 5, 4-1 Mariners.
DeJesus had a HR in the 1st, but RRS has settled down and is pitching a nice game.
Johnson hit into a DP in the 2nd, but Sweeney scored from 3rd on it to tie it up. In the 5th, Johnson took 3rd on a Wilson single, Ichiro drove him home on an infield single, then Figgins hit a triple, driving in both Wilson and Ich.

Top 8, tied 5-5.
M's tacked on another run to go up 5-1, then the Royals rallied for 4 in the 6th off RRS. League cut off the damage.
Bradley just doubled to open the 8th. It's a battle of bullpens now.

Damn early starts...completely missed it!
Nice job salvaging the series. Can't wait to see Cliff Lee make his first M's start on Friday!

I didnt get to see the final two games, but thank god we pulled them out. Managed to salvage a bit of dignity. All of these close games are getting to be a bit much though.
NIce to see Figgins swing the bat well too. Hopefully he catches fire now.
