Brett Cecil (2-2, 5.46) vs. Doug Fister (3-1, 1.72)

7 game homestand. 2 with Toronto, 3 with San Diego, 2 with Detroit.

Three teams with much better records than our own, but we did take a series against the Tigers in April (remember when we scored 11 runs off Bonderman? That's a solid week's work for us now). Gotta start winning some series, or we're going to be buried in the standings before Z's "trade market" opens up, or whatever excuse he gave for standing pat and not fixing this historically poor offense.

Bradley's back, so they stick him out in LF so we can watch his carousel defense. Two runs are in, and Bradley's poor angles and lack of range contributed to both of them I believe. But hey! Sweeney at DH!

THE MARINERS WIN A BALLGAME!

4-3 over the Jays. Trailed 3-1 going into the 9th, but Sweeney and Lopez led off with singles, Bradley walked to load the bases, Kotch walked to drive in a run, Bard tied it with a sac fly to left, then Junior came in for Josh Wilson and smacked a ball to right, scoring Bradley from 2nd. Nice to see some solid production in clutch situations! Good for Junior, too.

I'll only be happy if we can now string a few wins together. This season has been far too much of a letdown.

I still want Griffey locked up in the clubhouse for being too useless.
