Junior retires

Yes, we all wanted it, and no, he never should have come back after such a nice send-off in 2009.

Still bittersweet, though. Best ballplayer I've ever seen.

It was time, but you're right...it's still sad to see it happen. Best player I have ever seen in my lifetime, but that said...I still think he's only the second best Mariner of all time.

Best player you've seen but second best Mariner? Ok Yogi. I think in the long run A-Rod will be the best who wore the uniform but Griffey was a great player that would have been greater on a good team and if he had stayed healthy.

Ummm...yeah. Griffey was the best player, but Edgar was a far better Mariner.

i mean im cheering for myyankees in the game but i wanted to see griffey
