I know it's the A's and season's start, but it sure is nice to see them hitting the effing ball for once.

What a fantastic slide by Ryan. I know he's not a great hitter but I just like how he plays baseball. The way the M's have been running the bases tonight has been smart but aggressive. The kind of thing that drives opposing team's fans crazy, and I love it.

The type of home run I haven't seen in the AL West since Vlad Guerrero left the Angels. Unreal. I don't know if Cespedes is going to be much of an all around player, but that power is extraordinary.

Hope Vargas drills him next time he comes up...

Already getting a little worried about Smoak. I don't want to see him get into an early season funk when he knows everyone is expecting production out of him this year.

He definitely looked frustrated last night. His timing looked alright but he was just getting under good pitches instead of driving them, which would lead me to think he's close.

Man, more of the same from Figgins ton. Works a long at-bat and hits a triple, then busts home on a groundball for the first run of the game.

Man! Has our aggressive base-running paid off well for us the last two games.

I think Felix needed to load the bases to keep himself interested.

If we can do this dink-and-dunk stuff, and then Smoak/Montero hit with some power to the middle...now see, I'm ruining my expectations again.

Ha...kind of looked like it. Mowing hitters down is fun, but loading the bases and getting three guys to hit feeble pop-flys is kind of fun too.

I'm not sure about Smoak yet, but I've just got this feeling that Montero is going to have some mind-bogglingly explosive stretches this year.

Is Montero going to be the reincarnation of Edgar, with just a bit less average, and a few more HR's? He's certainly got the speed and the fielding ability.

Saunders HR. So happy for him. He's really trying to make his last stand a good one now.

Fell asleep on the couch, only to wake up and watch League save what turned into a one run game. A win is nice, but 6 runs for Felix? Seeing him labor and hang around the 90 mph range again? Something's not right...he's been doing this since the spring, so it's not like it's a one time thing.
