First, both Hart and Smoak finished their rehab assignments. Hart was called up and started at DH while Smoak was optioned to AAA (!) and Gillespie was DFA'd to make room. Then we lost 7-1 to Chris Sale. But then apparently Oakland went and got both Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel from the Cubs. Your move Jack Z.

Great win today. I sure didnt like our chances heading into that 9th inning down two, but the offense came through. Oh and another great performance by the bullpen!

Can win the series tomorrow against Noesi. Gotta make that happen.

noesi is starting? i think i'll be pretty upset if we don't win.

i'm underwhelmed by the bats i've heard available on the trade market. thoughts? viciedo might be an upgrade over ackley, but...

rays reportedly balked at oakland's proposal that would send their top prospect to tampa for david price, but i think i'm getting more and more comfortable with losing walker if we could form a felix/price/kuma 1-2-3.
