Six runs would've been good enough to get the win if they hadn't trotted Mateo out there to relieve Ramirez...God, it's just so predictable.

This is a very bad pattern for this team, fall way behind then just fall short of having a comeback. how dissapointing!

Why is Beltre batting seventh while Bloomquist is batting second? I don't understand why Hargrove so blatantly pins his future on Mateo and Bloomquist...what have they done to deserve that kind of reliance?

Jeff Weaver allowed three runs and seven hits over three innings and LOWERED his ERA from 15.75 to 13.91.

Sadly, that was Weaver's best performance of the year. He was throwing strikes and getting ahead in counts...he just couldn't finish anyone off.

Once again, Hargrove made no sense in the post game interview. He made it clear that he thought Weaver was making progress and that he looked better today...and yet he pulls the guy after three innings. If the guy isn't getting shelled like he was in the past, and you think he's pitching, why yank him? Is it because you are full of horse excriment?

Six losses in a row. The starting pitching is getting shelled, the offense is getting hits but has no apparent plan when at the plate, and the manager still sees Mateo and Bloomquist as go to players. Someone needs to go...I don't have the patience to sit through a full season like this.

So, assuming we'll only win games in which either Felix or Washburn has a good game, we'll go 32-130. Hooray beer.

We might as well trade for Rick Ankiel; he's about as good a pitcher nowadays as Weaver, plus he's a current Cardinal.

Yeah, the Mateo-Bloomquist combo. needs to go...it's a specialty of Hargrove. Already this season is feeling like last season...the names change, but the W-L doesn't.
