This series is huge. Simply huge. The M's are only 4.5 games back from the Angels at the moment, but the Angels have been hot against good teams. The M's have shown an ability to beat up on subpar teams, but that won't be good enough if the M's harbor any aspirations of getting into the playoffs. They have to take at least 2 out of 3 of these games...

If only Jose Guillen could always play this pissed! Nice to see Beltre and Sexson starting to get hot...man, if they could actually be hot during spring just once, where would this team be?

Man, our offense has just been bananas! We've scored around 50 runs over the past 5 games.
And Beltre...DAMN! Guy has been insane! In his past four games, he is 11-19, with 3 homers, and has raised his average 39 points, from .236 to .275.
4 wins in a row, and we're now 3 games over .500. Its nice to see us finally playing well, and swinging the bats so effectively.

He pitched alright for a debut. I'll certainly take today's performance over what Ramirez would've given us.

With luck, Feierabend will be the kind of player we had hoped Travis Blackley would become. Blackley drew comparisons to Tom Glavine, but then again, so does just about every gutsy lefty without dominant stuff. Usually they wind up less like Glavine and more like John Halama. But I think Feierabend can wind up somewhere in between, maybe like a Charlie Leibrandt.

Feierabend on the mound and Johjima behind the plate is a fairly lethal combination for baserunners. Kenji was terrible in the spring while he was adjusting his behind the plate throws, but he's on fire now.

Now, I'm normally not one to make excuses, but the home plate umpire was absolute garbage in the series finale. In that at-bat against Gary Matthews, Felix threw THREE STRAIGHT strikes, but oh wait, all were called balls. They showed each pitch on that pitch tracker thing, and they were all clearly over the plate. For some reason, the right side of the plate was getting no love from the ump. I guess he didnt know how to stand behind the f'n center of it.
But yeah, Felix falls behind, he's forced to throw a hittable fastball, and bam. Now, Hernandez didnt have his best stuff, but the ump was garbage.
