Hargrove resigns?

Post#1 » by jemagee » Sun Jul 1, 2007 6:19 pm

ESPN News is reporting that Mike Hargrove resigned...

Why is that?

Hadn't heard anything.

It's bizarre to say the least. It also probably helps the team, if it means fewer at-bats for people like Jose Vidro and Willie Bloomquist.

What the hell Mike? Everyone misses their family. Suck it up and try not to mess up the team you pussy. Hopefully the players weren't too attached to him.

Strange news for sure. I never expected to hear something like this, especially when our team is playing so well.

Hopefully we get through this all right.

This is one of the strangest resignations I've seen. Though we don't know all the ins and outs of it (maybe we never will), if this was a unilateral move by Hargrove, I've lost a bit of respect for him. To jump ship on a team at the halfway point, a team that is contending for the playoffs, to cause such instability at this moment seems a bit selfish to me.

Weird.

Absolutely no explanations from him in that press conference either. God, this is weird.

Haha, I'm right with ya, bro. Being a Mariners/Magic fan myself, it is quite ridiculous what is happening lately for us.

I can take this one a lot better than Donovan though. >_>

I was at the game, and it was a wierd feeling. The crowd staff told us there was a press conference going on, and everyone was wondering who'd been traded. I ended calling a friend of mine to go online and figure out what was going...and found out Hargrove was gone.

The whole thing left me and everyone else scratching their head a bit. I wish him well, and I hope everything's OK.

I've lost all respect for him now. Ys, he has turned this team into a great ball club, but how can you just give up on your team in the middle of the freaking season. As he puts it, he is doing it for their sake because he can't give 100% anymore. WTF. Suck it up for 84 more games you panzy... :wavefinger:

yeah, pretty weird. maybe throught today or the week we get more info about this whole situation.

i think the Ms were being in a good spot for what everyone was expecting. i hope this doesnt take some people down and the team starts slipping.
