What would the M's lineup be if they got Teixeira with prospects?

Btw, Ichiro's gonna be paid up to 2032.

No thanks. I don't want a single player on that sinking ship they call the Texas Rangers. We don't really need another bat...we need another arm in the rotation.

Unless it's a swap of, say, Teixeira for Vidro, which is both a rape trade on our part and extremely awesome.

You'd have to be on crack not to want Teixeira. Now that's the kind of player I'd gladly part with some prospects for.

That article doesn't say we're interested in Teixiera...

Finally, the Seattle Mariners are in the thick of things in the A.L. West and could add Teixeria to make a push for the postseason.

Not really, but we could use him...Teixiera wouldn't be a bad addition though.

Teixira would make any team better. Every team should be interested. Especially the M's, since he switch-hits and most of the team's best bats are righties.

I haven't read anywhere that the M's are pursuing him, except that I think ESPN Insider had them on the list of potential suitors. I'm also not sure what Texas' attitude towards trading in the division would be; they happily acquired Adam Melheuse from Oakland, but that's obviously a much smaller deal.

i would also like teixeira as a mariner, but i think he would come expensive for what the mariners can offer. i really can't think of a deal that could come through.

I hope thats sarcastic PNF otherwise you must need some of my meds young man!To not upgrade to a player of Texs stature wow just wow. I love The big Sexy too but if this 200. BA keeps up he needs to go and a switch hitter with Texs power they dont grow on trees!

It's a pet peeve of mine. I could write an article saying the Mariners could be creating an army of cyberneutic clones of Ichiro in a special room 600 ft. below SafeCo, and someone would run with it as a rumor. Damn internet!!!1!!

Teixiera wouldn't be a bad fit, but he wouldn't be cheap and it begs the question of what to do with Richie.

It's a wonder how people find out things like that....
Lol, a line-up of all Ichiro's...hit, stolen base, hit, run, stolen base, repeat.

At his BA, he could be added in a package for Teixiera.

I keep forgetting about the DH position. I'm not even kidding.

I really don't like the Rangers, but for the right deal I'd be OK with Teixeira. I'd prefer we address the pitching situation before the hitting situation, but if they want to add Teixeira to solidify DH that's fine by me.

As mentioned though, this leaves Sexson, Broussard, and Teixeira at 1B, which would have to be addressed in the trade or in another deal (Broussard for pitching help would be sexxxy).

Me neither. All the more reason to deprive them of their best hitter.
