Brandon Morrow: What

Now that the season is mercifully over and we have a better feel for our mercurial former top pitching prospect, what do you think his ultimate ceiling is? Do you think he can develop his secondary pitches and work his way into the rotation? If so, is he a back-end guy or more? If he does end up in the pen, is his stuff dominant enough to give serious consideration to him eventually taking over for Putz (or even forcing a trade)? Is he destined for set-up/middle relief?

So what you're saying is that I shouldn't count on him being our solid #3 starter in 2009, right? Next are you going to tell me that Phillippe Aumont isn't going to be a 250 strikeout pitcher, or that Mark Lowe won't return to become a bullpen stud.

My fear with Morrow is he won't be able to amp up his fastball, i.e. his one good pitch, as he could in the pen, making him a very marginal starter.
