1) Bedard
2) Hernandez
3) Silva
4) Washburn
5) Batista

-------

6) Morrow (in the wings)

What starting rotation from the past would you put above this one? Of course, this year's starting rotation is certainly more "on paper" than any other you might suggest from the past, but just for kicks. :)

I'd say possibly second behind 1990.

God this team has had some sh*tty pitching.

Definitely 1990.

Erik Hanson
Randy Johnson
Brian Holman
Matt Young

I think the highest ERA was maybe aroun d 4.00.

If that staff would have stayed healthy they would have been dominant, unfortunately Holman and Hanson got injuries that ended up having a major impact on their careers. To this day, I have not seen a pitcher that had as dominant a curve ball as Erik Hanson did that year...

Also, does anyone remember the game in which Brian Holman was 1 pitch away from a perfect game, only for his dreams to be shattered by former M's Ken Phelps?

For ME, our current rotation is probably the best, but that's mainly because I was only 5 years old in 1990. I can't remember back that far. :D

And yeah, we've had some **** pitching.

well, in 1990 i was 9 and wasn't a fan, maybe i didn't even know the M's existed.

so i could say that right now the mariners have a pretty good starting rotation, i don't know if the 2001 season would count:
