Batista off, solid bullpen, not enough offense to take the first game.

Bedard back today. Should be fun.

Holy s**t Norton...just go 3-4 to beat the A's, why don't cha.

How much money will it take to make sure Arthur Rhodes never again pitches for the Mariners ever?

Thank God we had a four run cushion in the ninth because Putz was having problems...

Bedard looked great. Now, can he manage to keep the hip problem at bay long enough to make a second start?

I don't want to sink much more under .500 here. Tough loss this Sunday.

Yep. And from a pitching standpoint, I'm not sure what could have been done to avoid the seventh inning collapse. Felix had been just outstanding, and despite putting a few men on base you hate to take him out there. So he gives up a couple runs...Morrow comes in, gets some outs, but allows a couple runners to score in the process. Tough call.

In the end it doesn't really matter how well the team pitches if the offense can't produce any runs.
