i watched this game, my second one of the season!!!

lol at both teams. first the tigers build this huuuuge lead thanks to the M's aweful pitching (and batting).

and then the Ms were close to making the comeback, but...

and the narrators of the game were saying that the M's are considering to do something about vidro. and as do something they meant trading or releasing him.

Hey, that's great...on the same day McLaren says that Jamie Burke will be handling all starts for Washburn and Bedard, because apparently Burke makes them better...Washburn goes out and gives up 12 hits, 9 runs in 2.1 innings. Good thing Kenji wasn't out there, as it could've been, like 15 runs off 25 hitts or something.

Johjima doesn't make Washburn suck. Washburn makes Washburn suck.

Time to put Washburn and Batista in the bullpen and start Morrow.

Well, there's an open spot in the 'pen since the team just DFA'd Baek for some reason. That's neat...Baek gets put in a new position that really doesn't play to his strengths, and after pitching two nights in a row and giving the team three scoreless innings last night after Washburn did nothing useful, the team cuts him because they need another long man in the pen.

What a horrible pitching situation. Washburn is awful, Batista not much better, and Silva's come down to Earth. Hard. And all three of those guys are making more this season than Bedard and Felix combined.

Each one of those starters should have taught Bavasi a lesson the next, but no...each year he spends way too much money on what he believes to be a proven arm.

And still, he draws a paycheck from this team. Baffling.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm saddened by Washburn's struggles. I was a big fan of the guy over the past two season and I thought he'd be the perfect No. 3 starter. Clearly, his stuff has left him and he can't make up for it anymore. Love the guy and his contributions, but he needs to be released ASAP.

Bautista has sucked of late, but I'm not going to flame him for another month or so. Give me time.

DFAing Baek may be the dumbest f**king move Bavasi has made this season. Good work, a**hole. Why don't you go try to run another franchise into the ground and leave the Mariners alone. Your dad would do a better job than you have.

Those three years until Philippe Aumont is ready can't come soon enough...

wow, this is pretty sad, the tigers have the worst ERA in the whole league and still the M's can score on them.

but don't forget that the M's are like the 4th or 5th worst ERA... isn't it time for BIG changes from top to bottom?

The Bill Bavasi Career Death Watch has to be in full force now. It's clear at this point that he has assembled a high-payroll team that hits poorly, pitches poorly and fields poorly. What further evidence is needed that the man is not cut out to be a major league GM?

The M's have scored runs in the series, but in each game they've been down five in the first inning or so and the game's already over. The offense has been letting the starters down all year, but in this series the roles have reversed.

It's the bottom of the second and Batista's given up 4 ER already. Is it time yet? :)

It would be if not for the fact that I love who the General MLB board gets in such a huff over the Tigers' "world-beating" offense. Perpetuating that is always fun.

Now, if this was the Royals, Bautista wouldn't leave the stadium alive.
