Jaku gave up 9 ER in 4.1 IP and the Twins belt the M's 11-0. The loss brings us back to .500 (15-15), and we now find ourselves tied with LA for second place, 1.5 games behind Texas.
Felix and Bedard close out the series. Can our aces stop the slide?

The M's are fool's gold this year. Plain and simple.

Ex-Twin Carlos Silva goes on the DL after being diagnosed with a case of chronic suckitude.

...and the skid continues. Felix sucked and we're going to be under .500. Just like that.

and the angels are suddenly ahead of us, and they have been relatively horrible by their standards. They are going to have an absolutely sick rotation:
Lackey
Santana
Escobar
Saunders
Weaver.
That's at least 4 ace pitchers right there.
It was fun while it lasted!

well, i'm hoping the M's arent fools gold, but i think it was very rushed from our part to start thinking this team that was almost if not the worst team last season would turn around that fast. still, things are a lot brighter.

That win came out of nowhere. I thought we were finished.
There's a lot of things I've liked about this team this year, but if [and it's a big 'if'] the team wants to contend this year, the current roster isn't one that's going to afford them the chance to do that. They're getting killed by right handers...

Re: Seattle @ Minnesota: Back to .500
Ugh! I knew a row of losing was forthcoming, but to lose 6 in a row, two with Felix starting...ouch! I had an uneasy feeling when we left town at 15-12, rather than at 17-10, or at least 16-11. I felt we were going to need as much of a cushion on this long road trip as possible. The quick slump to 15-16 before yesterday's win really took the optimistic wind out of my sails that had been building. I had this somewhat foolish belief that it might be possible to hold onto first place till June 1st. I will be surprised if we're on top now, or even within a game or two of first place come June 1st.
Can we avert implosion here? That's the question.
