mariners win 2-1 in 12 innings!

the big unit back in seattle and had a pretty good game. i wonder how the fans received him.

and what about vargas? maybe it's too early, but so far i'm pretty happy and amazed by his stats.

Fans gave the Unit a standing O when he left the game and Vargas looks very good but it's early.

On a sidenote the Giants, minus a couple of pitchers, are atrocius.

^^ The Giants are just TERRIBLE offensively...if they had some hitters, they would be serious contenders. Their pitching is pretty amazing.

Apparently so... they're second-last in the majors in team runs scored per game, ahead of only, er, the Mariners. And they're second-last in team OPS, although they can still claim to be the best in the Bay Area in that category. Though I haven't seen the games, it sounds like they've been swinging at just about everything in the first two games of the series, helping Olson and Vargas look good.

Our 3rd and 4th hitters hit home runs today, and we win. Fancy that.

Interleague play has been good to the Ms, of course that has something to do with playing the Padres, Nats and Giants of the world but we'll take it.

I like the fact that Beltre and Yuni are doing something, strictly from the standpoint it may be easier to move them by the trade deadline. If either is still there come August this regime is not any brighter than the last.
