King Felix is the best pitcher in baseball right now. HANDS DOWN. His stuff has never been this filthy and effective. His fastball is clockin 95 on the corners, and he's been killing it with his sinker and breaking ball. Just nasty. What a pitcher.

Was that our best win of the year? We beat the team with the best record in baseball on the road 5-1, Felix throws a stellar 8 innings with no earned runs and 9 strikeouts, Ichiro get 3 hits, Branyan and Griffey homer, our closer gets the save in the 9th....we actually looked good in this win.

This is the best I've ever seen Felix over a decent stretch of games. He seems to have matured this year, even over the last month and a half. He doesn't seem to get rattled like I'm used to him doing. He's looking like an ace now. Those two strike three pitches that froze those guys.

Not sure about where this win ranks.I will say that Milton is no prize for the Dodgers and they have the best record i think by playing in a triple A division. There are about 5 other teams i'd take over them.

Having said that Felix has to be an All Star with his body of work this year. I think if they can hang in there on this trip it should make for an interesting second half but their pitching will have a hard time holding up and the injuries have all ready taken it's toll.

4-2, we had two runners on with two outs in the 7th but Beltre swung (again) at a ball four nowhere near the zone and grounded out. Some insurance runs would have been nice.

M's win 4-2. Nice series win against the best team in baseball (record wise).

Three games over .500!

Really impressive start of this road trip. I was thinking that if the M's could go 4-5 on it, they would reach the halfway point at 41-40, a winning record. Not bad, all things considered. Starting off 2-1 on this trip, we only have to go 2-4 the rest of the way. Quite doable, even against the Yankees and Red Sox. A split of the remaining 6 games (getting greedy now), and we hit the halfway point at 42-39, which I think would be great.

The Mariners really seem to enjoy losing the first game of a series and then bouncing back to win the final two.

Nice series win. Olson kept it together and didn't let the game get too crazy there in that one inning. And damn, I can't even remember the last time Mark Lowe had a bad outing? He's been solid. And my love for the D.A. keeps on growing.
