Pretty nice matchup there, considering the Tigers have two all-star pitchers and we avoid them both. Although Porcello is certainly a big-time talent and Galarraga has had his moments.

So much for the comeback. And the Angels won both games in a double-header. We just can't seem to make any ground.

The Angels would have to be the hottest team in the AL now. We go 3-2 on the road and drop a game and a half to them. Ugh. What are you gonna do? We're going to have to sweep them in the head-to-head play.

Mariners are 1-hit through 7 and 2/3 till Branyan smacks a 2-run dinger to center. 2-1 M's going into the bottom of the 8th.

Unbelievably clutch work by the biggest FA steal of the offseason.

RUSSELL THE MUSCLE BABY! :D :D :D

I knew it was gone as soon as he hit it. Damn did I get excited, haha. I thought we were done, but figured Russell was our last shot there in the 8th. So happy for Felix too as he pitched one hell of a game.

Oh hey but look the Angels won again.

:vent: For the love of God! Can anybody beat the Angels now? We're 4-2 on this road trip, and have dropped a game and a half to the Angels. That's just not fair.

I'm running out of things to say about Washburn. Another outstanding effort.

And speaking of dynamite pitching, Mark Buehrle pitched the 18th perfect game in MLB history today, the first in 5 years. Congrats to Buerhle.

You know we've entered the twilight zone when you start hearing talk that the M's should resign Washburn.

Seriously. During Spring Training, I was praying that Washburn would have an ERA below 4.3 at this point simply so we could trade him.

Mutherf*cking hell! How did the Twins blow those leads? They were ahead 3-0 through the 4th, then 4-2 in the 6th, then 5-3 in the 9th....the Angels then score 2 in the bottom of the 9th to tie it, and then score 1 in the bottom of the 10th to win it. So the M's go frigging 5-2 on the road trip, and they drop 1 1/2 games back to the Angels in the same time frame since the All-Star break. Give us a break baseball Gods.

Well, we are starting to have a better shot at the wild card with the way the Angels are playing right now. We're 5.5 back of them, but only 4.5 back of the Red Sox.

We'll see. Definitely pissed at the Twins though. ****!
