Sucks that PJ and Live are hurt, but glad the team came out swinging and got the W. This is what we need and its a joy to see. Great team game.
I wish we had a full squad for PHX as I dont think they stand much of a chance without, but maybe they can prove me wrong.

Didnt get to watch, but how did Vuc do so well. Dude is washed, was Gaff struggling with his strength or soemthing?

His impact overall was incredibly minimal. Gaff was much more dominant on offense and defense.
In this situation i can comfortably say that Vuc was also -21 and Gaff was +19 which went along with the eye test.

On another note, it sucks that Grimes, Hardy and even Gortman minutes are all buried behind Dinwiddie's atrocious playtime. Kidd (AGAIN) experimented a lot in this game but this BS has to stop sooner than later. Send Spenc to China and give other guys more minutes.

Vuc is such an empty stats player, I was fooled by him once, but he's really not that good, still, this was his worst game this season, he's been putting up numbers since the beginning of the year.

My main concern is that this is Grimes contract year, and he's under a lot of pressure, getting jerked around doesn't help, his skillset is really needed, and having confidence to shoot and miss, is crucial...

Probably the Mavs being extra cautious. You have them take it easy in a game in early November so they can be fully healthy in May or June.

Yea Spencer is washed, they really need to accept it and let those young guys have a run
Do you know much about vasilije micic? He seems to be the odd man out with Lamelo and Mann in Cha. Would a trade for him in Dec for Powell/Spencer make sense for both teams? They seem to like to do business with each other lately.

Yes I was never a fan of his. ALways thought the same from his time in Orl. Just was surprised to see said stats at this juncture of his career as he seems done.

I guess it could work but i don't follow Micic at all, i think Bob would have better opinion on him. Also depends who you send out. I think Hardy/Grimes/Gortman are a nice trio piece that you can juggle around if you need more offense or defense, so i'm not sure how much would a guy like Micic help this team.

Gotcha
Yea my main goal is to get Spencer out, and one of Powell or Morris since its senseless to have both. If Micic is a friend of Luka, even better

Micic isn't a good NBA player, he's not as bad as Campazzu, but bad shooting PGs without quick 1st step just don't have much to offer and will be easily schemed against...

Micic is nothing like those 3 players, he's true Pg, for sure better than Dinwiddie. Better player than Exum too. But I doubt very much Mavs are interested to trade for him, much more important holes to fill and his salary is too big to simply match it with some of the players Mavs don't need and I don't see a reason Hornets would do it anyway.

We are the same Mavs team. One good game then follow with one bad game.
This kind of habit is not championship material.

I would say that he's better Pg, better scorer and better defender than Dinwiddie, but really not something Mavs desperately need.

You dont think the Mavs need a guy to run the offense when Luka and Kyrie sit, or are out? If not, is there someone on the roster you think can do so? I dont see it honestly. Dinwiddie is washed, Hardy is a streaky 2, Exum is way too unreliable.
Backup PF is also a big need, which is why the signing of Morris was completely unnecessary

It's hard for me to rate, because I don't know who Dinwiddie is, the current player from the last 12 games including pre season is not a pro level player, so yes, Micic is better than him, but Dinwiddie is supposed to be much better shooter, quicker 1st step and provide much more rim pressure.

Not prime Dinwiddie, but Dinwiddie from last and this year, very unlikely he returns in better years.
Micic and Exum were playing the same time in Euroleague, Micic has won Euroleague and was MVP, he's pretty good. Give Micic normal minutes and playmaking role and he will deliver, he won't get that in Mavs so there is no need for him.

I would for sure have him, but his salary is 8 mio, and I don't see any realistic way to get him and I doubt Kidd would know what to do with him. I would rather trade Powell, Hardy, Kleber, Grimes for some solid Pf.

Re: RS 24/25 - Mavs vs Bulls (Wed 830 EST Tonight)
Micic was a EL superstar, he is a lighter version of Luka and he doesn't need any coach for generate basketball just like Luka so it's perfect with Kidd.
For 10/15 minutes off the bench, he is perfect for us.
Unfortunately i think he will come back to Europe soon because apparently he has no room in NBA and i don't think he will accept another part time use.
