Without Luka no way, schedule is too difficult, if Luka starts playing on Feb. 10th that's possible. Much will depend on how Luka will look after not being capable of doing much for more than a month.

Luka shouldn't come back...
They should start punting games and going all in on games, and try to squeeze some wins.
I'd explore a trade for a guard, Gafford was key player before this stretch, but he's not living up to this standard this year.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Mavs supposedly expect that he comes back before All Star break. Playing some games before ASB makes sense, if he's ok, because he could be near 100% after ASB. If he comes back only after ASB, he will need additional time to come in form, after not playing for 2 months. It's tricky situation for sure, especially if Mavs continue to struggle immensely without him.

Really sucks, like Khalil said, what a terrible season. And 2025 has been a horrible year for me so far in almost every aspect. Hope they can pull it together

Daniel Gafford has been really bad this year...his stats might look ok but his Play , especially of late, has been terrible...he got outplayed by a washed up Deandre Jordan, he was schooled by Nurkic this year(and Nurkic got DNP now),the Blazzers centers were having a go at him,as were the Jazz....he can't do much except dunk on O but the really dissapointing part this year is his D and rebounding...he needs to start playing better, especially now that Lively's out again

Gafford should be traded while he still has some value. Gafford, Kleber, Grimes and Hardy should all be available.

Mav you are a dreamer, we can steal some games here and there against bad teams but playing like this it's another easy 4-11 or something like that.

They will hurry Luka come back (just like Minny game) because Kidd can't coach with the risk of further worsening his injury.
Kidd knows that his season is over without Luka, he is not so stupid, he knows better than anyone how bad he is.

However my bet is still here... 2 years after Mavs experience. Nothing more. Avery Johnson 2.0
