You a :clown: OP!

I’m really sorry Mavs fans. This was a seriously deep gut punch to me, and I’m just a fan of the NBA and a Nets fan. But I’ve always pulled for the Mavs, even had a Jimmy Jackson jersey growing up lol, but still can’t pretend to know what this feels like for you guys. Even with all the weird franchise crippling trades I’ve witnessed for the Nets. This one was unfathomable.

Thank You. I appreciate it.

This did not have to happen which is why it's the worst sports experience of my life and why the Dallas Mavericks are dead to me.

The Nike shoe salesman Nico Harrison was dumb as a hammer, ARROGANT, tone deaf, and a total crepe in the press conference.

Good luck to your Nets

I really like the long paragraphs OP wrote about how the original Star Wars was made.

Please continue OP. I also want to hear your thoughts about those Star Wars prequels.

Your opinion on movies really brought a fresh breeze on this site.

Keep it up.

He is not dumb, he knew exactly what he did.

Nico and Rob are old time buddy, i don't say that it's a gift but he will be rewarded in some way in the coming years.

If the league doesn't investigate this case then they never will because it is clearly sports fraud.

It's enough.

Ownership made this call. I support getting A.Davis back in return. I think under the circumstances Nico had to keep this on the hush (without drawing any attention) and he called someone who he knew would keep quiet (Pelinka) and got the best possible player he could get under the directives of the ownership. It's no surprise that Lebron is getting old and the Lakers want a big name star.

Now, if I was advising ownership, would I advise them to trade Luka? Most likely not. Am I happy we got AD back considering the constraints I believe ownership put Nico under, yes. Do I think this was the best thing to happen to Luka's career? Yes. Even though it sucks for Mav fans - Luka actually wasnt taking his body seriously. Adversity needs to happen to propel you to be better.

Let's stop pretending this was Nico's decision. You don't trade the franchise player without ownership wanting to do it and telling you to do it.

Is that you, Nico? Please, stop with this nonsense. Ownership doesn't even know who Luka is. This is all Nico. He's never liked Luka, is trying to put his stamp all over this team, and had no idea how much Mavs fans enjoyed watching Luka, despite his flaws. The joy with which he plays, the clutchness that he has shown, the ability he has that continues to improve, not to mention the fact that we watched him grow up here, cannot be replaced with Nico's idea of what players fit his "culture". The fact that these Vegas clowns ok'd the deal is even more reason they never should have set foot in Dallas. This will go down as one of the biggest gaffes in Dallas sports history and hopefully this will run Nico and his Vegas circus out of here.
When someone says, "to make a long story short", it's usually too late.

This Mavericks FO deserves fans like joesha.

Look, it's hard as can be for me to stop liking the Mavs like it's a switch that can be easily turned off and on. But Nico Harrison and the new owners dont care about the Mavs or the city of Dallas. They screwed this team behind any rationale. I understand the wonderful folks of Dallas not turning away; that's is your city, your home. But for me, I've only been to Dallas once, and it was joyous, btw. But I cant support a team run by Nico Harrison, and if I was critical of Luka always being out, I darn sure am not going to love AD who's out even more than Luka.

I have no other choice but to join the team that plays for the closest city where I live, and thats the Washington Wizards. I'm heartbroken doing it, Mavs were a huge part of my life. But this is not those Mavs. The Wizards have so many warts, but at ; least they are not taking the draft and building seriously, so I can, if nothing else, look forward to that.

I know I've had run ins and disagreements with many, but wish you all the best in your personal, professional, and family life. Be blessed all!

You enjoy the wizards...

BTW, i think nico did Luka a favor. Luka needed this wake up call. Sucks for Dallas fans but Luka needed this to happen. He wasn't taking his health and being a leader seriously.

There are different kinds of smarts. The smarts required for this moment Nico does not possess. That is obvious in the presser. Thus, dumb as hammer and even worse tone deaf at the worst level I have ever seen in sports. He's scum.

Cuban brought Nico here because of Nico's relationships with players. He's had a relationship with Anthony Davis for years and Nico wanted him here.

Luka doesn't fit Nico's culture. Luka doesn't fit anyone's system, Luka is the system. So there's that too.

Listen to Nico talk about culture in the presser. Obvious there was tension or conflict. I know how a lot of these high level corporate executives operate as I've been in many meetings with them, resist them and a lot of them will hurt you.

IMO, people need to stop making excuses for Nico Harrison. Listen to his words in the presser and think about what they mean, and watch his body language. He's scum.

I will. Kuz and Poole stink, but everyone else on the team is young, hungry, and likable. Enjoy the worst GM in all of sports (sadly the Dallas football one) and AD getting injured 7 minutes into his debut.

You're too naive... Harrison&Pelinka are close friends, they have a 20years history of multi-million dollar business.
If Nico gifted the biggest marketing assets outside the NBA to Pelinka there is a reason... We still don't know their complete deal.

I don't try to find excuses for Harrison, he is just not stupid... He is a criminal. He screwed the fanbase.
He and Adelsons sold us for personal interests.

NBA should investigate the trade and the organization connections but Silver is not stupid too, they need Luka Doncic playing for the Lakers so it's ok. Go on.

someone posted this conspiracy online: Speculation- what if Mark cuban is behind all of this?

Cuban goes after Kyrie
Sells the team to Adelson
Secretly working with Nico to trade Luka to tank team bc he knows new owners know nothing about sport
Nico will not offer Kyrie a full 5 year deal and he'll in and get traded (sign and trade)
Team will tank
Eventually the team has to sale and heads to las vegas
Cuban ups his majority stake up to 51%

these conspiracies are getting

They suck each other's d. That's the reason without any loop hole and everything makes sense instantly.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
