As an XMFFL'er, This game was so hard to watch. It's so hard trying to cheer for the Lakers, It's so hard rooting against the Mavs. But here I am. I think honestly this has made me not even want to watch NBA Basketball.

Basketball and the Mavs have been my favorite professional sport for a long time. Having season tickets for several years and getting to watch Dirk grow up in front of us...was special. I'm not sure how long or if ever I will get over this trade.

I just hope that The ownership group, Nico, and JKidd get karma in some way or fashion for this.

So far their 0-2 in the 25 games. 23 games remaining. i did mark these two games as potential losses. Now we move forward. Gonna need more from guys like PJ Washington. I know his job is to guard Lebron but Lebron is 40. You gotta give us some points. When our depth comes back it makes PJ more dangerous on both sides of the ball..right now guys need to step up. Exum was doing that before he got injured.

keys until we get some guys back

-kyrie turning back the clock a bit (new do)
-limiting turnovers
-guys stepping up on both ends
-a little luck wouldnt hurt

Hornets game is a must win!

For me it's Dirk for Robert Traylor. One All NBA talent for a scrub.

You're just doing revisionism, just like if someone talk about PG13 for SGA and J-Dub.
Those are gambles, sometimes went bad sometimes went good. It's different.

Luka trade was horrible from day 1 and probably it will be even worse with time.

No mention that the franchise has lost plus or less 500M yet from value, merchandising , tickets ecc ecc

What do you mean revisionism? The topic of "worst trade of all time" varies from person to person. How can you have billions of people in the world agree to just one answer?

I didn't say it wasn't a horrible trade. I actually agree with you. Luka for AD, Max and 1st is a bad trade. Dirk for Traylor was also a bad trade. Both can be true. Which one finds it worst is just subjective from person to person. What's wrong with that? If people don't agree with it then how is it wrong? It's just a different opinion.

This is like saying that whether the earth of flat depends on person to person, afterall 1 percent of the population thinks it's flat. Just cuz you have some BS opinion that runs contrary to 90 percent of the public doesn't make it a 50 50 tossup. It's the worst trade ever.

Winnable game for me. They just need to get those guys back.

If PJ gets more games like this, he's getting sent out with a package for KD in the summer.

Lakers this year are not so good, they don't have bigs and Luka-Reaves-Lebron back court is almost unplayable on the defensive end..

But it's not a problem, their window is open for 7/10 years... The Mavs have 2/3 years and 1 is almost over.
That's the problem.

And the Mavericks no longer have a transcendent, once in multiple decades player (potentially).

The league has never seen anything quite like Luka Doncic. He willed your franchise to the finals last season. He was 25. That combination is why you don't trade him. Duh. Period. End of story. Duh again.

The initial reaction of virtually everyone was shock. That's all you need to know. We can ignore what came after unless there was something egregious with Luka but there is not.
