Klay / Lonzo / Exum
Kyrie / Tyus / BWill

Going to be perfectly honest. I hate that people want Lonzo so bad. He's an insane injury liability and i don't trust him to perform in the playoffs at all. Kyrie/AD/Lonzo on the same team? Might need extra ambulance trucks on standby :D

I also see a lot of fans here suggest Naji to be involved in any small trades. Guys, Naji has probably the best contract regarding "performance/salary" on the team or even in the league. You don't just throw away player like that in any small deal. These type of salaries for good role players can make or break teams. OKC are full of them that's why they can afford to have a deep team (for now).

I don't think any Mavs fan wants Lonzo so bad, he's just the name floated around as a cheap trade target.

My point is I dont want to lose Gaff and especially PJ for pennies, that's why I wouldn't do anything drastic (assuming AD is untouchable)

I love Naji but someone has to go, he won't find any minutes behind Flagg/AD/PJ/Klay/Max.

Naji has value around the league now too. And a VERY tradeable contract.

One of Dlo or Tyus might take the minimum to start on a playoff caliber team for ~40ish games. Tyus Jones did it last year on a team he was a terrible fit on, so why not again on a team with great roll bigs?

Jones may choose money this time, given that he already suffered from taking the min salary in PHX. D Lo may be another story. May be I like D Lo more than the fellow maverick fan. The talent is there, especially on the offensive end, and yes, he is bad defensively, but we have the system to cover his weakness.

Would you send Klay + PJ +Naji to Cleveland for Garland? And how would that fit what we have going on here?

Obviously you'd have to work out a trade with Gaff for Herb after that to make it balanced.

Makes too much money unless youre getting rid of Kyrie, i dont see it.

Brooklyn only have 50 million in cap up coming season. I definitely see them helping to facilitate some trades.

Saw this trade proposal by Clutchpoints.

Gafford/Klay/OMax

For

Jrue Holiday/protected ‘27 FRP

Even though I want to keep Gafford this trade wouldn’t be bad.

Remove the 1st, replace OMax with Hardy.

I would 100% include OMax for a 1st round pick

Swap Klay and OMax with Hardy and Martin and I'm good with it.
Jrue has a horrible contract considering his age.

I honestly don't know why we should consider Jrue and his contract.
You lose almost your entire flexibility with Jrue, AD and Kyrie contracts. You basically can't trade at all anymore.
That is why I rather start with the group instead of doing a hasty trade now

Don't think Celtics do it.
Klay has to go out, Mavs don't have the salaries to do it w/o him.

No need to rush and overpay for Holiday, just let BOS to ask around the league, to realize that how untradeable Holiday has become.

Boston will eventually panic and blow the team up. It will actually impress me if the new owners are willing to foot the bill for $500M next year. I highly doubt they would.

True. There're more low-dollar options out there. Lonzo for Martin, Hardy.and OMax should be fine. Or replace OMax with a 2nd. Lonzo is kinda like Livingston on GSW team. If things work out, keep him. If not, you still clear cap space with minimal assets. OMax won't get much playing time anyway. The Mavs is perfectly fine with or without Hardy.

My read in the situation is that the Mavs are ignoring the noise on purpose and not entertaining neither the Knicks nor Kidd in their power plays, they are saying Kidd is under contract, he's not avaliable for the Knicks nor are we in a rush to renegotiate his terms.
Kinda respect that...

Knicks are pathetic. They're trying to get any top coach without even having proper draft capital in return. Except i wouldn't mind if Mavs get rid of Kidd. But it's just that Knicks 1st round picks hold almost no value.

I also see no reason for Nico to part with Kidd given the fact that he just extended him.

Big mistake from the owners not to use this to fire Nico and get draft capital for Kidd

From my understanding Nico is trying to waste New York's time by not giving an immediate no. He made New York think they had a chance because Dallas didn't come out with a quick no like Houston and Minnesota. Nico trolling the Knicks.
