Whos gonna want Juwan Howard? Id be amazed if we could get a 2nd round pick for him... Im sure the Mavs will be looking towards PJ Brown now, and this is the only trade we will be doing this season... I hope not, I think there are a lot f available big men that we could probably buy pretty cheap

Well i dont think anyone would want HIM, but his contract is expiring and he could be a throw in to something else to make money work.

yeah, juwan could be added as filler to make some trade work.. but with the trade deadline nearing by the second and we still havent got this kidd deal done, it makes me wonder if we have enough time to make another deal...

Booth and Juwan have nearly identical salaries.

At this point, we only need defense and Booth is a decent shot blocker. Booth did a decent job on Amare when he was with Dallas the last time.

Spare me. Theres a reason why hes been let go by the Mavs twice. When there are players like Shaq, Bynum, Yao, etc. that you have to focus on, a Booth and Damp combo isnt going to cut it, even though the rest of our lineup is stacked

Couldn't the Mavs make a 2 or 3 for 1 deal before the Kidd deal to make this work?

In other words, could they do something like a Hassell, Fazekas, and Juwan Howard and 09 draft pick for Etan Thomas or something like that.

Then they would make room to sign KVH and make the Kidd trade.

Just a curious thought.

Who would you rather have as a backup to Damp guarding the centers in the West, Juwan or Booth?

I'm not saying we should make that move as a first resort but if there is nothing else available, I'd rather have some type of shot blocker with size as a backup for Damp. Juwan is pretty worthless in all areas on this team and gives us nothing on either end of the court.

BTW - Seattle outbid the Mavs to get Booth the first time and we traded him the second time to get a decent backup for Dirk.
Not what I would call being let go.
