Time to get P.J. Brown...
With the departure of DeSagana Diop in the Jason Kidd deal, I think the Mavs need to make an all-out effort to lure P.J. Brown out of retirement. Brown is the best veteran big available and he'd provide the defensive presence missing with Diop gone.
Can Cuban do it?

Don't look for P.J. Brown to join the list of players making a brief comeback for an easy payday.
The 38-year-old power forward, who has not played since helping the Bulls reach the second round of last year's Eastern Conference playoffs, has no interest in returning to the NBA, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein.

If we can't sign PJ he would be my next choice.
We simply cannot go into the POs with this front line. The thought of what Amare and Shaq are gonna do to us is a nightmare. I already see Avery's strategy though and that is using Dirk and Bass to pull them away from the basket while Kidd does his thing. Terry better make more 3s than Amare and Shaq have dunks.

maybe its just my pacer glasses from the 1990's but that might not be a terrible signing, i dont remember the last time he played, was he on the pistons roster last year?
but he's a solid defender and rebounder who has experience guarding the likes of a shaq and duncan
