I think Stack is OK. He's just a bricker like he always was and he had a decent game against Memphis.
Josh...I don't know what is up with him. His back, missing Devin, not adjusting to a better offense, low BBall IQ, who knows...
Dirk is amazing with Kidd and frankly, that's all that matters since this team goes as far as Dirk goes in the end.

Maybe its because he has basically been demoted to the #3 guy now.
Dirk and Kidd are clearly #1 and #2 now and it might be possible that Josh is trying to do too much to be involved.
I think DDansbury is right and he will eventually settle down and accept his new role on this team.
I am right with you on a Howard for Marion off season deal.
Howard, Stack, Barea and Bass for Marion and Haslem???

Bass has sucked all season. I agree though, not many players get worse when they play with a player like Kidd, but it looks like that exact thing is happening so far with J-Ho, Bass, and Stack. Ill give Stack and J-Ho a little time to find it though since theyve missed so much time in the past few weeks.
I must admit that I had pretty high hopes for Bass after the first month or so, but now I see him as only a "garbage man" in this league at best. That wouldn't necessarily be bad if he is able to accept that role and give us what we need (rebounding, interior D, putbacks, etc...).
Avery's decision to play him at the 5 is not helping matters.

You guys are ridiculous with the Brandon Bass hating, yeah in the last two games he wasn't really impressive, but right before that, he had a 6 game stretch with 12+ PPG, 60+% FG, and 5 RPG. His season average, 7,8 PPG on a 48 % shooting! 48 %! I can remember, when someone predicted that he was gonna average about 8 PPG, and 5 rebound, in around 18 minutes, some of you guys called him crazy. And here we are, he averages 8 PPG, and almost 5 rebound, with a freakin' good field goal percentage, and you just keep tellin' he sucks. No, obviously he doesn't suck, and not just that, you keep forgettin' that this is his first real opportunity to show what he's got, and i'm telling you, i'm really glad he is THAT good, and he will be better with Kidd, just gime him some time.
Good game by the way, Jason Kidd was awesome. What do you think, his assist numbers will go up? I expect at least 12 APG, maybe even more.

Well, I was going to say something similar to that, but I really didn't have the energy.
I look at it this way. He's 22 years old, far from the prime of his career, and he's showing some signs that he can actually be a productive member in the NBA. That's promising. That's what Howard and Daniels started out as in their rookie seasons, and both of them were as old as Bass is right now. I say extend his contract 2 years, and see where how he progresses. If we need his spot then dump him if he's the worst on the team, but to write him off at 22 is just stupid.
I kinda want to know what Reyshawn is up to, but can't really find anything that shows how he's doing in Europe.

Same ol' same ol' for fans of the nba. Unless you can score at least 15-20 points per game then you suck and should be traded.
Bass is a garbage player, yeah, but he can still be a great player anyway. Ben Wallace was a garbage player for Detroit. So was Dennis Rodman. You need garbage men. Without them, your the '04 Olympic Team that lost to the Euros.

Obviously, you are addressing me and just did a wonderful job of making my point.
If Bass understands that role he might become another Rodman/Wallace/AC Green/Mahorn/Oakley type of player for this team. If he decides that he wants to become another jump shooter like everyone else, we have no need for him and he would have more value as trade bait.
