Devin Harris, whom the Nets acquired when Jason Kidd was traded to the Mavericks on Feb.19, could make his Nets debut Thursday at the Meadowlands after taking part in his first full practice with the team on Wednesday.
Harris hasn't played since Jan.27 due to a sprained ankle. But he did everything he had to do in practice - running, cutting, full contact - and will be evaluated before tip-off of tonight's game against the Bucks. If all is well, Harris will likely come off the bench behind Marcus Williams. Eventually, he will take over as the starter.
If Harris does play tonight, he won't be trying to fill the sizeable shoes left behind by Kidd, who led the Nets to consecutive NBA Finals in his first two years and six straight playoff appearances.
"It's not hard for me to be me. I wake up and I'm me every day," said Harris, who played 3-1/2 seasons in Dallas. "I just try to do my best. That's always worked for me, just go out and give it my all."
