Well, why does Sacramento acquire so much value? TJ Ford would do well for Sacramento and yet they also acquire the 17th overall pick? Don't forget Toronto is still grooming Andrea Bargnani and overall I just can't see Bryan Colangelo to allow this much value go for Josh Howard.

Artest is a top 5 SF who recently for the most part has stayed out of trouble. TJ Ford isn't close to the player Ron is, has a salary that's just as long(if not longer, I'm not sure), and is 1 injury away from ending his career. Not like 17th overall picks always turn out to be much anyway, Quincy Douby was like 17th or 19th or something and he hasn't turned out to be anything special.

It doesn't matter. When it's a 1 of 5 involved trade talks sway towards the impact position and that's normally not the 3. Include one of the most difficult GM's to trade with and I just don't see Bryan Colangelo doing this trade. Toronto needs to fill some holes and the 17th overall pick will be one way to do it.

However I'd be happy to deal Miller instead of Ron, because Ron is younger and a better player. If the Raps would rather have a C than a SF good for them and we can cut the Mavs out of the deal. Then Kings draft a PF and have a talented line up of Ford/Martin/Artest/PF/Hawes, which I would be completely happy with.

If I remember correctly New York offered Sacramento Renaldo Balkman and Fred Jones for Ron Artest. Clearly that's not good enough but take into account that teams might not be willing to offer what you expect.

Howard's post season was better than Artest's? WOW REALLY? Yeah it's kind of hard for Ron to play in the postseason when his team sucks with half of their players being young players and a team that had probably 2nd or 3rd most injuries in the league(Artest himself missed 20 games, Kevin Martin missed about 20.

Dallas' team outside of Dirk sucks. And thanks for pointing out how injury proned Artest is. I appreciate it it!

If Artest was really that good, he would lead a team to the post season. Howard without Dirk put up 31 & 7!!!!!!

JO is not a low post player. He's a high post player who takes a plethora of jumpshots. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 ft pole right now.
