Blockbuster DAL-CHA-CHI-IND Scenario

Dallas Trades
Erick Dampier (CHA)
Josh Howard (CHI)
Jerry Stackhouse (CHA)
S&T Antoine Wright (IND)
S&T Jamaal Magloire (IND)

Dallas Recieves
Emeka Okafor (CHA)
Tyrus Thomas (CHI)
Chris Duhon (CHI)
Marquis Daniels (IND)

Charlotte Trades
Gerald Wallace (CHI)
Matt Carroll (IND)
S&T Emeka Okafor (DAL)

Charlotte Recieves
Erick Dampier (DAL)
Jerry Stackhouse (DAL)
Andres Nocioni (CHI)
Ike Diogu (IND)

Chicago Trades
Larry Hughes (IND)
Andres Nocioni (CHA)
Tyrus Thomas (DAL)
S&T Chris Duhon (DAL)
1st Round Pick (IND)

Chicago Recieves
Josh Howard (DAL)
Gerald Wallace (DAL)
Jermaine O'Neal (IND)

Indiana Trades
Jermaine O'Neal (CHI)
Marquis Daniels (DAL)
Ike Diogu (CHA)

Indiana Recieves
Antoine Wright (DAL)
Jamaal Magloire (DAL)
Matt Carroll (CHA)
Larry Hughes (CHI)
1st Round Pick (CHI)

Dallas Lineup:
C-Okafor
PF-Nowitzki
SF-Bass
SG-Daniels
PG-Kidd
6th-Terry/Thomas

Charlotte Lineup:
C-Dampier
PF-Diogu
SF-Nocioni
SG-Richardson
PG-Felton
6th-Morrison/Mohammed

Chicago Lineup:
C-O' Neal
PF-Gooden
SF-Howard
SG-Wallace
PG-Hinrich
6th-Deng/Gordon

Indiana Lineup:
C-Foster
PF-Murphy
SF-Granger
SG-Hughes
PG-Diener
6th-Dunleavy/Tinsley

Dallas does this because: Okafor gives us a scorer down low and a rebounder, Tyrus Thomas gives us a young player for the future, Daniels brings his stuff back, and Duhon gives us a relatively young backup to Kidd.

Charlotte does this because: The team is instantly more competitive, great defensively, and more experienced. If May and Morrison return from season ending injuries this team could make the playoffs.

Chicago does this because: The Celtics did the same thing with their trades last year, and it was very successful. Thomas and a 1st rounder are nice to have for the future, but this team wants to be a winner now.

Indiana does this because: This trade solely means rebuilding. The team really isn't losing much compared to what they had last year and they are picking up a lottery pick in the process. If Larry Hughes finds his old form, the Pacers won't regret this.

I know this will never happen, I just want to know what you think.

Chicago would do it, just like Dallas, Charlotte no way. The Bobcats got robbed in this trade. I'm really not into trades though. :)

Okafor isn't Josh Howard better than Dampier.

So Charlotte gives up Okafor for Diogu & Dampier, Wallace for Stackhouse & Carroll for Nocioni?

Well.....

Horrible for Charlotte.
Bad for Indiana.
Questionable for Dallas.
Good for Chicago.

I don't think it's that bad, I mean Okafor's always hurt and a free agent anyway so getting Diogu and Dampier doesn't seem so bad. And I think of it more as Wallace (also injury prone) for Nocioni and Carroll for Stackhouse. Of course, I'm biased because I wrote the trade.

Trades like this that make the offseason suck.

Man I can't wait until the postseason ends and the draft/free agency/ and trades start actually happening.

Charlotte isn't Memphis.

Then again, Jordan drafted Kwame, and Kwame Brown went to the Grizz, so maybe, justtttt maybe.

Chicago gets away with highway robbery. Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Noah, JO, Gerald, Josh?

Coming from a Bulls fan. I love that trade.

Bobcats get absolutely raped, Pacers don't do so good.

It seems OK for the Mavs.
